National's Style O-14 Replicon is a reissue of the guitar used by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits and The Notting Hillbillies. It's contructed with a maple neck, bound ebony fretboard, and nickel-plated brass body which is capped by the distinctive "chicken foot" coverplate. Each Style O goes through a distress and aging process to make it look and feel as if it were 75 years old. The metal parts are artificially aged for the look of a lifetime's worth of use. The neck is artificially worn for a "broken-in" feel.
